Because the truth does not come in shades of gray
This Starbucks campaign leaves a bad taste in the mouth, it's like a Marie Antoniette saying to the poor masses, let them eat cake. Instead of spending money on expensive Starbucks coffee, do you know that the same money can let one to three persons eat at least 1 square meal for the day. I find this whole campaign to be morally bankrupt. Stop spending money on "luxuries" and donate it instead to a homeless person near you. Sacrifice. If my people (meaning people who claims a relationship with God) should humble themselves and pray - the call is for the middle class and the rich to start sacrificing some luxuries and help our impoverished countrymen. Do what you can in your community, in your area of influence. Substituting corrupt officials with other corrupt officials will not solve our problems. Unless we do something for those who truly need them on our own initiative in our respective areas of influence, we will just sink further. Never ask for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for each of us. What are we doing?
