After A Long Spell - The Black & White Lists

Greetings! Yep, I'm back after a protracted hiatus. My absence was partly due to a lot of work, both personal and BnW. It was also due to being just too angry to write. Sometimes it's good to take a step back, recover your well being and refresh yourself.

Another good reason to post is our Congressional and Party List Black List / White List. This is our way of getting involved in the coming local elections. We believe that the road to political and governmental accountability begins in the Lower House. If we want answers to all our questions about scandals like "Hello, Garci", the Fertilizer Scam of Joc Joc Bolante, and burning issues like extra-judicial killings, then we must elect men and women of courage that are willing to impeach Gloria Arroyo in the next Congress. Even more importantly, we must elect Filipinos that will return our badly battered and misused institutions to respectability.

Even now, the battering continues - COMELEC continues to delay the publishing of candidates' names, even Party List nominees. The military is conducting smear campaigns against those they fear, fueled by the paranoia of their civilian leaders. We have witnessed the blatant bias of legislators in exchange for pork and the like, do we really need any more of that? The list goes on and on. And so we have decided to fight back with our own Lists.

Please take the time to visit our website, www.blacknwhite-movement.com, weigh in and spread the word.

Hopefully your hiatus enabled you to stack up energy to battle the enchanted dragon by the murky river.

Hi sis,

Welcome back. I will be posting your latest report in my blog. No time to waste while the majority of the OFWs haven't voted yet.

Thank you, gents! Just got back from our press conference on the Lists. A report is already out on Inq7.net and I listened to a discussion on Lists over dzMM. At the very least, we hope to spark interest among the voting populace.

Helga,

I read you didn't blacklist the TUTA senatorial slate.
Akala ko ba black and white ang labanan. What happened? Do some of your members actually believe there are gray candidates in the TUTA slate?

Hello Manuel, good to hear from you. No, we don't think that - it would be a no brainer list, really. Everyone from Team Arroyo would be on the Black List. No fun in that. We believe the road to accountability, especially to the truth from the Lurker in the Palace, begins in the Lowers House via impeachment. That's also where we have to start the Charter Change derailment. Again.

nice to see you back, helga.

btw, sa 3rd district ng MayniLA, pinag-iisipan ko pa kung sino ang iboboto ko -- Naida Angping or Re Fugoso (Asenso Manila).

Leaning towards Angping tho. Definitely not rep. Miles Roces and his face.

welcome back helga. nice to know that the group has released its black list of congressional candidates. we only need more or less 80 representatives in the lower house to finally get the impeachment ball rolling. but first we must make sure that our votes will be counted. i smell another garci-like cheating in the offing.

I tend to agree with you, bystander. If such eventuality come to pass, do you have any plans on what course of action to take?

i believe in the BLACK and WHITE MOVEMENT, but lately, i have been reading many movement people, endorsing a candidate, and that really blew my mind, i have always thought that this is a neutral-for the people movement, and most members are somewhat disgruntled ex-GMA suppporter, cameout and expose her..and now i see that they are again endorsing a candidate, and i think it is wrong,if not " cause misrepresentation ", and i hope that it corrects by itself, or i get proven wrong..thats all i got to say about this matter--
